Synthesis of crystalline poly(styrene) -b- poly(N-phenyl maleimide) via anionic polymerization or transformation polymerization. |
초록 |
A variety of polymerizations of N-phenylmaleimide(N-PMI) via several mechanisms have been reported by several groups. In this study, anionic polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide (N-PMI) was carried out in the mixture of benzene/THF at room temperature using polymeric alkoxide as an initiator. The polymeric alkoxide was first obtained from n-butyllithium-initiated polystyrene in the mixture of benzene/THF at 25℃, followed by delivering N-phenylmaleimide into the reactor and keeping the reactor at room temperature for 24h. In addition, the chain-end bromination of the polymeric alkoxide was carried out using 2-bromopropionyl bromide, followed by conversion to RAFT agent using potassium ethyl xanthogenate, resulting in the production of PS-based RAFT agent. Using PS-based RAFT agent and AIBN, polymerization of N-phenylmaleimide was performed in the DMF at 110℃ for 24h. The results for these experiments will be presented in this study. |
