The highly crosslinked stable spherical microspheres were successfully synthesized using five crosslinking agents having different number of functional groups in monomer using the precipitation polymerization in the absence of a stabilizing agent. They are divinylbenzene (DVB), ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA), allyl methacrylate (AMA), 1,6-hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) and trimethylolpropane trimethacrylate (TMPTMA). The concentration of five crosslinking agents plays a pivotal role not only in the formation of individually stable microspheres but also in the polymerization characteristics including the final size, thermal properties and such as recovery rate, K-values were investigated using micro compression test(MCT). |
