Physical properties of EPDM-MA composites containing physically modified bottom ash and talc |

Maleic anhydride grafted EPDM (EPDM-MA) has excellent thermal resistance, weatherproof and ozone resistance. Bottom ash generated in thermoelectric power plant is hardly recycled. Physically modification of bottom ash was done by crusher. In this study, physical properties of EPDM-MA/physically modified bottom ash/talc composites were tested. Particle size of bottom ash was measured by particle size analysis (PSA). Morphologies and mechanical properties of composite were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and universal testing machine (UTM). As a result, tensile strength and volume resistivity of EPDM-MA composites were improved by the coaddition of AG-ash and talc.
