제목 Nanosized alloy and core-shell catalysts for the Oxygen Reduction Reaction
초록  Platinum based electrocatalysts are commonly used for both the cathode (oxygen reduction) and anode (hydrogen oxidation) due to its high catalytic activity. However, its expensive price is the main problem to commercialize the proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs). For this reason, many researches have focused on the discovery of alloy and core-shell catalysts for little or no loading of platinum which should have small sized particles to enhance the catalytic activity. In this study, we synthesized various kinds of non-platinum which have very small size of particles such as Pd-Co-Au ternary alloy. The developed catalysts showed excellent distribution and good electro-catalytic activity. We also expect that the developed catalysts can be used as the core material in core-shell structure for ultra-low platinum catalyst. The characterization and performance of the developed catalysts were analyzed by XRD, HR-TEM, XPS, ORR test and Cyclic voltammetry (CV).
