The fiber web was prepared by electrospining of PAN and cellulose acetate blending solution, and distributed in the range of 400 to 600 nm. The webs were stabilized at 280℃ in the air atmosohere, and activated at 800℃ in the nitrogen by 30 vol.% steam. The activated carbon nanofiber (ACNF) was about 250 nm in average diameter. Its average pore diameter and specific surface areas were 2.0 ~ 3.2 nm and 742 ~1121 m2/g, respectively. The specific capacitance of pure PAN was 140 F/g, while that of ACNF blended 30 wt.% cellulose acetate was 198 F/g, as increased 40 %. This is due to the increase of specific surface area and pore diameter. |
