Preparation of Polymer Nano-Webs and Their Sorption Properties |

In this study, polymer nano-webs for enthalpy wheel which reduced energy loss and controlled indoor air quality were prepared. In these materials, it is important to have a large amount of moisture adsorption and a high adsorption rate. Electrospun nanofibers using polymer composites were prepared from poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid-co-maleic acid) (PSSA-MA) blends with various contents of zeolite that was used as a antibiosis filler. It was crosslinked by using sulfonsuccinic acid (SSA) for obtaining improved durability. The diameters and thicknesses of electrospun fiber were investigated using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The fabricated electrospun nanofibers had a high moisture uptake and fast adsorption rate due to highly increased surface area. The effects of zeolite contents on the properties of moisture adsorption and antibiosis were as investigated. |
