제목 Polymerization of Polyester modified with Bisphenol A Derivatives and Analysis of their Thermal Properties
초록 Polyesters, one of the versatile synthetic polymers are mostly used as engineering plastics in various industries such as fiber, plastics and coatings. Especially, commercial adhesives are mostly used them because of their advantages. The derivatives of Bisphenol A (2,2-bis(4-(2-hydroxyethoxy)phenyl)propane, 1-(4-(1-(4-(2-hydoxy-propoxy)-phenyl)-1-methyl-ethyl)-phenoxy)-propane-2-ol)) and aliphatic alcohol neophenthyl glycol(NPG), polypropylene glycol(PPG)) were polymerized to the modified polyester(m-PET) in the presence of titanium butoxide as catalysts at 250℃. The influence of the nature and concentration of these monomers on the rate of reaction and their physical properties such as Tg, M.I, I.V, Mn/MWD, softening point of polymerization had been investigated. The effects of temperature had also been studied. The activity was evaluated from the quantity of methanol formed in these experiments.
