제목 INFLUENCE OF BRIDGE STRUCTURE ON CATALYTIC BEHAVIOR OF DINUCLEAR CONSTRAINED GEOMETRY CATALYSTS IN ETHENE/1-OCTENE COPOLYMERIZATION
초록 Dinuclear Constrained Geometry Catalysts (DCGCs) of the general formula {TiCl2[N(tert-butyl) Si(Me)2]C9H5}2 {(CH2)n[C6H4] (CH2)n} [1(n=0), 2(n=1), 3(n=2)] were prepared by treating two equivalents of TiCl3(THF)3 with the corresponding tetralithium salt of ligand followed by oxidation by AgCl. DCGC catalyst was characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR and elemental analysis. Ethene was copolymerized with 1-octene using methylalumoxane (MAO) activated three different DCGCs. Polymerization behavior was analyzed with respect to catalyst activity, 1-octene incorporation, copolymer microstructure, and molecular weight. Complex 3 showed the highest catalytic activity, produced the highest molecular weight polymer, and promoted high 1-octene incorporation. All produced polymers were random poly(ethene-co-octene-1) without any stereoregular microstructure and melting point.
