Na,K-ETS-10 was ion exchanged by alkali cations, Li+, Na+, K+, Rb+ and Cs+ respectively and the adsorption behavior of CO2 was investigated at 273 K and 298 K, respectively. The BET isotherm shows that the BET surface areas and pore volumes directly depend on the cation size and are in the order of Li+> Na+> K+> Rb+> Cs+.The adsorption capacities of alkali cation exchanged ETS-10 are also in the same order as those of BET surface area and pore volume. It is interesting to note, however, that the adsorption isotherm of CO2 on K-ETS-10 with the highest ion exchange of 71% shows the lowest adsorption behavior. |
