Effect of H2SO4 Catalyst amount on Pervaporation separation performance of Poly (vinyl) Alcohol membrane cross-linked with Tartaric acid in the low concentration of Acetic acid aqueous feed solution |
초록 |
The membrane used in pervaporation test was prepared by using poly (vinyl) alcohol cross-linked with dicarboxylic acid, Tartaric acid, and each membrane solution contains different amounts of H2SO4 as acid catalyst for esterification reaction between PVA and TA. Prepared membrane was characterized by IR spectroscopy, swelling studies and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy to observe degradation of PVA, cross-linking density and quantification of functional group of membrane with different contents of catalyst by immersing into the specific acetic acid aqueous feed solution. In pervaporation result, flux and separation factor was steadily changed with increase of pervaporation operating time, after certain time, the value was saturated. |
