Cure Kinetics of Epoxy-Amine Resin System with Addition of Polyethersulfone |

The effects of the content of polyethersulfone (PES) on the cure reaction of the epoxy-amine resin system were studied. The cure kinetics was studied by using a differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) under isothermal conditions. All kinetic parameters of the cure reaction including the reaction order, activation energy and rate constant were calculated. The cure reaction of epoxy-amine resin system goes through an autocatalytic kinetic mechanism. Finally, to describe the cure reaction of the epoxy-amine resin system with the content of PES, the normalized kinetic model was developed and discussed. |
