제목 | Negatively Charged Ultra-fine Black Electronic ink Particles of P (MMA-co-EGDMA) by Dispersion polymerization for Electrophoretic Displays (EPDs) |
초록 | Ultra-fine black particles of ranging in diameter from 1 to 3 m sized have been prepared by dispersion polymerization in a methanol and water mixture with vinyl monomers, non-polymerizable sudan black B dyes and FITC-labeled charge control additives. The effect of various polymerization parameters on the size was found to increase with decreasing the water concentration, the stabilizer concetration, the dye content, and the charge control additives. The incorporation of to the polymer particles increased with the concentration of water, dye, and stabilizer. The effect of fluorescent-labeled charge control additives strongly affected the electrophoretic mobility. It is consequently clarified that a small amount of fluorescent-labeled charge control additives increase the electrophoretic mobility. However, a further addition decreased the electrophoretic mobility of polymer particles. The concentration dependency of fluorescent-labeled charge control additives on its deposition behavior in the polymeric particles was successfully imaged and thereafter quantified by image analysis. {image1} |
