Self-assembly-based graphene nanostructures for highly efficient and stretchable energy storage |

We fabricated three-dimensional (3D) graphene structures with template self-assembly based crumpled graphene approach and directionally porous ice-template self-assembly approach for the energy storage application. We introduce a sea urchin-like spiky template with simultaneous chemical etching/reduction process for the fabrication of 3D crumpled graphene balls, a 3D porous graphene/VOPO4 nanosheet nanocomposite using a facile ice-templated self-assembly process with reduced graphene sheets and VOPO4 nanosheets. We also developed novel 2D reentrant cellular structures of porous graphene/CNT networks for omnidirectionally stretchable supercapacitor electrodes. Reentrant structures, with inwardly protruded frameworks in porous networks, were fabricated by the radial compression of honeycomb-like rGO/CNT networks. The capacitive performance of these supercapacitor electrode also shows fairly high over 130 F/g and these high performance still be maintained at highly stretched condition. |
