제목 | Optimization of Lithium Promoted Cu-based catalyst for Higher Alcohol Synthesis |
초록 | Many researchers have been interested in high alcohol as fuels and fuel additives for oxygenation of conventional fuel and for gasoline octane enhancer. The higher alcohol reduces pollution and emission such as NOx, CO and unburned hydrocarbon. In this work, the lithium promoted Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst for Higher Alcohol Synthesis(HAS) were prepared by impregnation method and characterized by N2 physisorption, XRD, XRF, H2-TPR/TPD. The HAS reaction was carried out under 45 bar, GHSV=4,000h-1, H2/CO=1 – 2, and 240 – 280℃. It was identified that the catalyst prepared at pH 7 and promoted with 0.5 wt% of lithium showed the best catalytic performance for HAS. The higher alcohol selectivity of all catalysts increased with increase in weight of lithium promoter. It was found that the optimal pH of co-precipitation solution was 7 and the 0.5 wt% lithium as promoter over Cu/ZnO/Al2O3 catalyst was best suitable for HAS. |
