Effect of Dipole Moment of Pyridine Derivatives as the Buffer Layer on the Photovoltaic Properties of Polymer Solar Cells |

In order to improve the performances of polymer solar cells (PSCs), introducing a buffer layer between the ZnO layer and the active layer has been extensively studied in recently. In our research, it has been reported that introduction of pyridine derivatives as a buffer layer can enhance the power conversion efficiency of PSCs. In this study, we introduce a series of pyridine derivatives with hydroxide substituted different position. These positions have different dipole effect which affect to modify work function of the cathode and reduce energy barrier at the interfaces between the cathode treated ZnO and active layer. Herein, the effect of dipole effect on the performance of PSC will be discussed. |
