제목 Preparation of PVA/PNIPAAm Microcapsule for Hydrophilic Drug and Release Control Under Various Temperatures.
초록 The microcapsule can be one of the most useful devices to release drugs in a more effective, longer, and safer manner. In this study, microcapsules were synthesized by emulsion-interfacial reaction. Hydrophilic polymer is suitable as the wall material of microcapsules for hydrophilic drug release. In this study, PVA and PNIPAAm were used as hydrophilic polymer. PNIPAAm has LCST at 32℃ and swelling-deswelling character around LCST. Semi-IPN microcapsules were prepared with PVA and PNIPAAm. They were combined to form a semi-IPN structure and kept not only a mechanical strength, but also possibility to synthesize the functional microcapsules(stimuli-responsibility). To confirm the semi-IPN structure, FT-IR and DSC analyses were carried out. Morphology and particle size were studied by optical microscopy. We synthesized semi-IPN structure microcapsule from several different concentrations of solution to observed morphology. We also observed change of morphology and particle size of semi-IPN microcapsules at various temperatures.
