Characterization of Rheological Properties for Polymer-Bonded Explosive simulant |

In this research, the characterization of rheological properties was carried out for polymer-bonded explosive (PBX) simulant. In the research step, it is really dangerous that explosive materials were used directly. So, the materials that have more similar rheological properties were studied in order to optimize the process conditions of PBX. The organic compound, an aliphatic chlorine-containing crystalline, was used for filler simulant because its particle size, density and electrostatic and coating behavior most closely represent the properties of RDX. The simulant of polymer-binder was used in various type or grade of ethylene-based octane copolymer. The PBX simulant was conducted to characterize the rheological properties by plate-plate rheometer. |
