제목 Low Temperature Decal Transfer for Hydrocarbon Fuel Cell Membranes
초록 A novel low temperature decal transfer method for hydrocarbon fuel cell membranes was developed. The new method utilizes solvents to alter the surface characteristic of the hydrocarbon membranes. This surface modification allows the catalyst layer to be completely transferred from the substrate to the membrane at relatively low temperatures below 120 oC which is approximately 100 oC lower than that used in the conventional method. In this experiment, complete catalyst layer transfer from the substrate was verified by EDX analysis. The surface and cross-section of the MEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly) was analyzed using SEM. MEA performance was tested using an Impedance Analyzer and PEM (Polymer Electrolyte Membrane) Fuel Cell Station.
