SMB Chromatography를 이용한 광학이성질체 분리 |

Simulated moving bed(SMB) chromatography has been recognized an essential tool for the optical separation of chiral drug racemates. Racemates-Bupivacaine with chiral characteristics has been used for a local anaesthetic. R-(+)-Bupivacaine is more toxic to the central nervous and the cardiovascular systems. In this work, lab-scale SMB consists of 8 columns of 10mm I.D.×100mm Length was employed for the separation of the chiral drug . Used Chiral Stationary Phase was Kromasil CHI-TBB with a particle size of 5㎛ . In order to optimize the SMB Chromatography parameters, the simulation was carried out by using "Aspen chromatography" software of "Aspen tech." and compared its results with that of experimental work.
