We investigated the variation levels of isoliquiritigenin in Insampaedoksan before and after fermentated with Lactobacillus Platarum144, and the extraction efficiency of isoliquiritigenin by pure water, methanol and 60% aqueous methanol. The characterization of isoliquiritigenin was achieved by comparing the HPLC retention time(tR), LC-MS molecular weight and the UV absorption of isoliquiritigenin in the Insamapedoksan. From the results, the extraction efficiency of isoliquiritigeninwas more highest in pure methanol. The amount of isoliquiritigenin was selectively increased after fermentation.
