제목 The effect of iron, CO2 variation and light/dark on growth, lipid and carbohydrate accumulation in Dunaliella tertiolecta
초록 Dunaliella tertiolecta due to its fast growth rate and large lipid contents is considered as an important biofuel producing specie. In the current study impact of iron and CO2 variation under light/dark condition on biomass, lipid and carbohydrate production was investigated. Higher iron concentration (13.8mg/L) and light was suitable for enhancing lipid content by 10%. While carbohydrate contents increased by 13% under normal iron concentration (4.6 mg/L) light and in the absence of CO2. While 10 % CO2, light and absence of nitrogen resulted in lipid content increase by 12%.
