제목 Effect of hard segment content on thermal reversible property of isosorbide based polyurethane
초록 Polyurethane (PU) is one of very useful and versatile polymers for wide applications. PU elastomer is a segmented blocked copolymer composed of soft and hard segment. Isosorbide (ISB) is a bicyclic diol derived from glucose with rigid structure. Isosorbide was used as the chain extender of PU elastomer which becomes a part of hard segment. We found that the urethane unit can be reversible by incorporation of isosorbide.
So, in this study, we have investigated the reversible nature depending on the hard segment content of PU elastomers prepared from a prepolymer of poly(tetramethylene ether glycol) and 4,4′-methylenebis(phenyl isocyanate), and isosorbide as a chain extender. Reversible properties of PU were studied employing Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and rheological measurements.
