Various factors are involved in skin aging. Together with natrual skin aging, the daily exposures to ultraviolet rays and environmentally harmful chemicals causes significant skin damages. For these reasons, intensive studies are currently being undertaken for the maintenance and regeneration of damaged skin tissues. In this study, investigation was conducted to evaluate the effects of fish extracts on skin tissue regeneration in vitro. The extracts were freeze-dried and kept frozen before usage. The chemical property of the extract was analyzed using FT-IR. Skin whitening effect was examined by measuring tyrosinase inhibitory activity and the antioxidant activity of the extracts was performed using DPPH. The proliferation and skin regeneration effects were tested using fibroblasts, NIH3T3. Effect of the extract on relaxation of inflammatory reaction was evaluates using Raw 264.7 cells. |
