A metal hydride bed for the storage and delivery of tritium is one of the essential components of tokamak fuel cycle. For the development of ametal hydride bed, rapid delivery/recovery rates according to the tokamak operation scenario and accurate and rapid measurement of tritium inventory are major concerns. To achieve these requirements, it is important to design an operation scenario for rapid cooling performance. Therefore we should know the highest temperature of the bed without significant decrease of hydriding performance to minimize cooling time. In this study, we present the hydriding characteristics of ZrCoHx SDS bed with different initial hydriding temperatures. |
