Effect of the morphology of carbon supports on the catalyst layer for the proton exchange membrane fuel cells |

A proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) is clean generator because reaction product is only water. Because of the oxygen reaction kinetics and durability issues, numerous researches on the graphene-based electrocatalyst have been investigated. However, the influence of the dimension of carbon support on the catalyst layer is insufficiently explored. Therefore, we investigate the effect of the carbon support type on the cell performance. The membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) for different supports were prepared by the spray method. The carbon supports influenced the electrochemical performances of the MEAs due to their morphology. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was further examined to investigate the relation between the support types and the electrochemical properties. |
