A rod-like, carboxyl end-functionalized oligofluorene (PF-COOH) was successfully synthesized by using Yamamoto coupling reaction of 2,7-dibromo-9,9-di- n-hexylfluorene, followed by the end-capping reaction with 4-bromobenzoic acid. The chemical structure of PF-COOH was confirmed with 1H NMR and Gel Permeation Chromatography. A series of binary blends of PF-COOH with Poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), were prepared in THF. And their self-assembling structure was monitored by Small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS) and Transmission electron microscope(TEM). We also prepared a series of ternary blends of PF-COOH/PEG/SWNT and found the different self-assembling structure from one observed in binary blend of PF-COOH/PEG. |
