제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Energetic Polymer(NEO) Thermoplastic Elastomer
초록 Novel energetic thermoplastic elastomer(NEO) binders are being increased energetic content in future explosive formulations and rocket propellants. Energetic polymer of 2-nitrato ethyl oxirane(NEO) was polymerized by cationic ring opening polymerization. The activated monomer polymerization has been executed with precisely controlled feed of NEO monomer to reactor in the complex state catalyst generated by BF3.O(C2H5)2 and 1,4-butanediol in C2H4Cl2 Number average molecular weight(Mn), polydispersity, hydroxy number and glass transition temperature of prepolymer(NEO) were 2,000 to 2,500, 1.30 to 1,50, 0.8eq/kg and -30 to -35 respectively.
Synthesis principle for energetic polymer(NEO) thermoplastic elastomers were prepared from the appropriate prepolymer(NEO) prepolymer, diisocyanate MDI, TDI and chain extender(BD) in dichloroethane. The properties of polymer(NEO) elastomers are melting temperatures high enough for useful mechanical properties and low enough for safe processing (-70 to 100 ) ;crystallization rate of 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature; glass transition temperatures of -15 to -30 ; controllable molecular weights(Mw) from 10,000 to 30,000; and in many cases, molecular weight distributions of 1.4 to 2.4. Analytical techniques were developed and have provided partial understanding of the polymerization mechanism.
