In this work, the characteristics of poly(styrene-divinylbenzene) copolymer were studied as a function of divinylbenzene (DVB) content. The copolymer was obtained by solution polymerization and the carbon fibers (CFs) were prepared by electrospinning method. The characteristics of electrospun CFs were confirmed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). As a result, the glass transition temperature (Tg) of the CFs increased with increasing the DVB content. It was also found that the DVB content influenced on the average diameter and the Tg of the electrospun CFs. |
