In this work, the effect of plating temperature on physicochemical properties of electroless Ni-plated polystyrene-based carbon fibers (CFs) was investigated. The CFs were prepared by electrospinning method with styrene and trimethylolpropane triacrylate. The structures and surface characteristics of the CFs were examined by XRD, EDX, and SEM measurements. The thermal and electrochemical properties of the CFs were measured by TGA and cyclic voltammetry.Asa result, it was noted that the increase of plating bath temperature led to an increase of deposited Ni content on the CFs, resulting in improving the thermal and electrochemical properties of the CFs. |
