제목 | Sustained release nifedipine delivery system contained pharmaceutical active agent by multi-coated layers and porous membrane |
초록 | Osmotic delivery systems are based on osmosis, the diffusion of water transversely a semi-permeable membrane from a medium with a low osmotic pressure to a medium with a high osmotic pressure. Nifedipine tablet dosage forms of Procardia XL (Pfizer) and Adalat (Bayer) are commercialized systems of this type that push-pull osmotic tablet operates successfully in delivering water-insoluble drugs. For the improvement of release pattern and water-insolubility of drug, we prepared osmotic beads by novel coating device, and model-drug used nifedipine. The present work is intended as an investigation of the effect of different preparation factors, such as hydrophilic polymers, molecular weight of polymers, coating process, and excipients for optimal release performance. With the purpose of delivering water-insoluble nifedipine at an approximate zero-order rate and step-function rate for 24 hours, osmotic beads has been successfully prepared. It has been significantly improved in the release rate and patterns in comparison with Adalat push-pull system in vitro release features. Acknowledgement: This work was supported by KMOCIE |
