In dye-sensitized solar cells, electron recombination is important factor in affecting the energy conversion efficiency. Oligomeric PEG containing COOH group as a co-adsorbent was introduced to reduce the electron recombination rates between TiO2 and triiodide of the electrolyte (MPII and I2 in ACN). Open circuit voltage, short circuit current and power conversion efficiency of DSSCs under 1 sun condition were enhanced with the co-adsorbent treatment, respectively. The electron recombination rate was characterized using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). In addition, we compared the properties of DSSCs by sequence of our co-adsorbent treatment. There were quite different tendency by molar concentration of co-adsorbent and treatment sequence. |
