Low Temperature Post-treatment for Highly Efficient Flexible DSSC |

In this report, hierarchically structured TiO2 (HS-TiO2) were prepared on flexible ITO-PEN substrate using e-spray deposition with commercially available TiO2 (P25) in order to fabricate flexible DSSC under the low temperature condition. To make higher efficiency, two different type of post-treatment were introduced for flexible ITO-PEN: mechanical compression treatment and chemical sintering using titanium tetrabutoxide (TTB). The mechanical compression treatment improved particle connectivity and adhesion among HS-TiO2 and/or ITO-PEN substrate physically, which lead higher photocurrent density of as-pressed HS-TiO2 cell. The electron diffusion coefficient of as-pressed HS-TiO2 was improved by compression treatment. Additional post-treatment using TTB was introduced as chemical sintering. It was concluded that the additional TTB-treatment HS-TIO2 cell after compression treatment showed faster electron diffusion, leading to the efficiency of 5.57%. |
