제목 Graft polymerization of styrene, acrylic acid and glycidyl methacrylate(GMA) onto polypropylene fabric by radiation
초록 Using the radiation grafting technique, polypropylene(PP) fabric was graft copolymerized with styrene, acrylic acid, and glycidyl methacrylate(GMA). The grafting was conducted by the simultaneous grafting using γ-rays from cobalt 60. The γ-irradiation was conducted from 1kGy to 4kGy at an exposure rate of 1.0 kGy/hr in air. The effect of absorbed dose, dose rate, acid and multifunctional monomer on the grafting yield was examined. The results showed that the inclusion of an appropriate salt and acid in acrylic acid grafting solutions was extremely beneficial.
