Metallized polymer films are the focus of intense activity because of their importance in a broad range of applications. Although polymer metallization methods are of obvious significance, mechanistic information about them is scant due to the experimental difficulties associated with the study of the relevant solid-state reactions. Especially, Silver nanocomposites are widely used as photosensitive components, catalysts, Raman spectroscopy enhancement additive as well as chemical analysis, due to its a wide antibacterial spectrum, and comparatively high safety. In this study, the structure and antibacterial effect of the high molecular weight poly(vinyl alcohol)/silver nanocomposite films were investigated. |
