Transparent and Self-patterned Stretchable Electrode based on Spray-aligned Silver Nanowire by Capillary Bridge Effect |

We present a transparent and self-patterned stretchable electrode composed of bridged square-shaped silver nanowire (AgNW) bundle mesh. By inducing the capillary bridge formation of AgNW dispersion between hydrophobic microstructures upon spray coating, we obtained a regular and uniform AgNW bundle mesh with a bridged square shape favorable to mechanical deformation and optical transparency. Furthermore, by exploiting the self-patterning ability based on capability difference in capillary bridge formation with respect to the distance between microstructures, we finally realized the transparent and self-patterned stretchable electrode which can be applicable toward stretchable display and electronic skin field. |
