제목 Luminescence characterization of Gd2O3:Eu/Bi red nanophosphor prepared by spray pyrolysis
초록 Luminescent inorganic nanoparticles have a lot of applications including displays, white LEDs, medical imaging, sensors, solar cell, and security inks. Europium-doped Gd2O3 has strong red emission under 254 nm UV excitation due to the electron dipole transition of Eu3+. The excitation wavelength of phosphors is important role of determining their application area. To be used in the application area such as security ink or bio imaging, it is necessary for the phosphor to have good excitation properties in the long wavelength region as much as possible. In this work, Gd2O3:Eu phosphors are prepared by spray pyrolysis and the excitation properties was controlled by the co-doping of Bi in order to make a redshift in the excitation wavelength. Detailed luminescence properties were investigated by controlling the ratio of Bi to Eu. Also, it was tried to improve the emission intensity simultaneously with reducing the particle size through modifying the spray solution.
