The fuel tank of the LFV (LNG fueled vessel) uses LNG, which is a cryogenic liquid substance of about -160 ° C, as fuel. Therefore, NG and LNG coexist in the fuel tank. When fuel is supplied by bunkering, the fuel tank of the LFV circulates the NG to the external fuel injection tank to regulate the pressure while simultaneously receiving its fuel that has a different temperature. In addition, heat is continuously supplied from the outside of the room temperature. This external disturbance causes pressure difference, temperature difference, and flow rate change inside the LFV fuel tank and finally change the vapor-liquid state. Therefore, research is needed to predict the flow field and heat transfer phenomena inside the tank by understanding the pressure changes and various thermal components inside the tank. Then, the control method of the safe tank can be derived. This study analyzed the physical behavior of the tank by injection of single component LNG based on CFD and finally analyzed the pressure change, flow velocity & flow field, and temperature change in order to measure the stability inside the tank. |
