제목 | Supercritical extraction of rape seed oil using carbon dioxide |
초록 | Supercritical fluid extraction (SCFE), particularly concerning the recovery of essential oil, is an attractive alternative to the traditional separation methods, such as solvent extraction, since thermal degradation and solvent contamination of the extract are avoided. The most frequently employed supercritical fluid is CO2 due to its low toxicity, good safety and low critical temperature. There were many literatures about the natural material extraction with SCFE such as soy bean, wheat germ, sunflower, cotton seed, grape seed, and so on. In this study, rape seed oil was extracted by supercritical carbon dioxide. The effects of process parameters, pressure (200, 250, 300 and 350bar) and solvent flow rate (1.03, 3.11 and 4.88kg/h), were investigated. The Experimental data was correlated using the mathematical model developed by O. J. Catchpole. The extracts were analyzed by gas chromatography. |
