제목 A novel radiopaque, biodegradable polydioxanone stent for esophageal obstruction treatment
초록 Biodegradable polydioxanone (PDO) stents were coated with hyaluronic acid-dopamine (HA-DA) and barium sulfate (BaSO4) to enhance biocompatibility, tissue adhesiveness and radio-opacity for the treatment of esophageal diseases. The HA-DA conjugate was synthesized by EDC/NHS chemistry and characterized using 1H NMR, ATR-FTIR and UV spectrometer. The amount of HA-DA on surface was quantified with micro BCA assay. The radio-opacity of BaSO4 coated PDO stents were confirmed by X-ray radiography. The tissue adhesive property was measured by ASFM F2255-05. Cyto-compatibility was evaluated with ISO 10993-5. In addition, biodegradability of the stent was measured by ISO 14855-2. Obtained results demonstrated that the PDO braided fiber coated with HA-DA and BaSO4 might be a biocompatible material as radiopaque and biodegradable polymeric stents.
