Development of monofilamentous stent with biodegradable PLLA-PDO core-sheath fiber for nonvascular implantation |
초록 |
For its high flexibility and biocompatibility polydioxanone (PDO) has benn widely used in bio-medical fields. But, such as low mechanical stability during degradation and etc. has been noticed as drawbacks for PDO stent. In this investigation, PLLA-PDO core-sheath monofilament based stent are designed to optimize mechanical properties, biodegradability, and drug release. Decrement of tensile strength, elastic modulus, and elongation properties were delayed in the PLLA-PDO monofilament degradation process comparing to the PDO monofilament. Dexamethasone was added in the PLLA-PDO monofilament for drug release. Degradation behavior between dexamethasone-loaded PLLA-PDO monofilament and bare PLLA-PDO monofilament were not observed. Also, we were able to observe sustained release of dexamethasone form PLLA-PDO monofilaments. In general, our drug-eluting sheath-core monofilament stents can be a promising model for advanced non vascular implantation. |
