Flexible dye-sensitized solar cells have received considerable attention for various applications because of their muiticolor, transparency, and flexibility. Despite these advantages, the current process for flexible DSCs has intrinsic barriers to continious mass production for commercialization. One of the most critical issues is a long time dye-soaking process, which is needed to achieve a high density of dye molecules on the TiO2 surface. In this study we have investigated on a new commercially viable deposition technique for the preparation of TiO2 electrodes on flexible polymer substrate using ultrasonic spray coating technique. With this processes, conventional dye soaking and high-temperature sintering processes are not required. While the conventional soaking led to power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 4.7%, a PCE for 4.1% and 4.0% was obtained using pre-dye-coating and co-deposition technology, repectively. |
