Efficiency Enhancement of Polymer Solar Cells by Incorporating Pyrene-Driven Self-Assembly in Benzo[1,2 b:4,5 b′]dithiophene (BDT)−Thienothiophene(TT)−Pyrene Copolymers |
초록 |
A series of benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b′]-dithiophene-based random copolymers including pyrene units were polymerized and characterized. Pyrene-driven self-assembly in Benzodithiophene (BDT) based random copolymers was systematically investigated by a variety of measurements. We demonstrated pyrene−pyrene interactions enabled the copolymers to construct fibrous and interconnected structures. As the concentration of Pyrene unit increased, multiple Pyrene−Pyrene interactions were dominant in a few polymer chains and these interactions derived to form a more ordered phase but less interconnectivity among many polymer chains. A threshold concentration of the Pyrene unit induced the Pyrene−Pyrene interactions to propagate over many polymer chains to develop a highly interconnected structure that increased the charge transport ability and thus the photovoltaic performances of resulting bulk heterojunction (BHJ) polymer solar cells were improved (5.03 → 7.52%). |
