Ammonia adsorption behaviors of N-doped activated carbon fibers modified by electron beam radiation with the various atmosphere |
초록 |
In this study, activated carbon fiber (ACF) was modified using electron beam (EB) irradiation with various atmospheres to introduce nitrogen (N) functional groups on the carbon surface to enhance their ammonia gas adsorption capacity. The ACF was irradiated under EB in 50-300 kGy in an ammonia atmosphere to form N-rich functional groups. Changes in the chemical composition of the ACF surface were observed using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The textural properties of the ACF were also determined using N2/77K adsorption isotherms. The ammonia gas adsorption behaviors of the ACF were evaluated using a detecting tube technique. |
