Transparent conducting electrodes (TCEs) based on indium tin oxide (ITO) have been known and well-studied as an essential element of various optoelectronic devices. However, it has several drawbacks such as brittleness, low optical transmittance, and high processing temperature. The CuNW@G core@shell nanostructure was successfully prepared by a low temperature PECVD (LT-PECVD) process at temperatures as low as 400 °C for the first time. The CuNW@G TCE exhibited excellent optical and electrical properties. In addition, it showed remarkable thermal oxidation and chemical stability because of the tight encapsulation of the CuNW with gas impermeable graphene shells. Furthermore, polymer solar cells with CuNW@G TCE exhibited higher power conversion efficiency than those with CuNW TCE because of significantly enhanced anti-corrosion property. |
