Dye laser have been commonly used as coherent light source. Some organic dyes have wide wavelength range tenability and by choosing appropriate dye range from ultra violet to infrared. Generally, a combination of the N,N-dialkylaminocoumarin donor with a wide range of acceptor groups of varying electron-withdrawing strength should permit from 500 to 700 nm. In our results, it was general features that when the electron acceptor strength is increased within a donor-acceptor system a bathochromic shift is observed. Also, the dyes could have technical value such long wavelength fluorophores, laser dyes and colorants for plastics. |
