Crystalline organic semiconductors show higher carrier mobilities than amorphous organic semiconductors because the strong p-p interactions enable fast in-plane charge transport. Polymer semiconductors containing fused thiophene units have emerged as a promising class of materials for OTFTs and OPVs. Because the fused thiophene units have advantages of enhanced planarity and mobility. In this work, we present polymer semiconductors using fused thiophene and benzothiadiazole derivatives via Stille coupling reaction. The synthesized polymers were characterized by 1H-NMR, GPC, UV-vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammogram and devices were fabricated photovoltaic devices. |
