Dielectrophoretic Behavior of Janus Particles and Biomolecule-Conjugated Janus Particles |
초록 |
Dielectrophoresis (DEP) can be defined as the transport phenomenon of polarizable particles under a non- uniform electric field. DEP can be used in the separation of particles with different physicochemical properties, as it is a versatile and efficient method that provides high selectivity. In our study, DEP behavior was observed in the varying AC conditions of the polystyrene-based Janus particles with and without bioconjugation. DEP behavior of these particles was monitored and compared depending on the biomolecule conjugation. Such experimental results of the current study could be applied for detection and separation of the specific biomolecules. |
