Solution-Based Synthesis of Bismuth Telluride-PEDOT:PSS Hybrid Composites and Thermoelectric Devices by Spray-Coating Methods |

Bi2Te3-PEDOT:PSS hybrid composites were synthesized by solution process at low temperature. These composite solutions were deposited on a substrate by spray method to prepare thermoelectric devices. Thermoelectric properties of Bi2Te3-PEDOT:PSS hybrid composite films were significantly enhanced by simple chemical treatment with H2SO4, and power factor (σS2) of those materials can be effectively tuned in a very wide range depending on the concentration of H2SO4 solution. The power factors of the synthesized Bi2Te3-PEDOT:PSS hybrid composite films were optimized to be 60.05 μW m-1 K-2 with Seebeck coefficient of 93.63 μV K-1 and electrical conductivity of 69.99 S cm-1. The power factor of chemical treated-Bi2Te3-PEDOT:PSS hybrid composite films increased four orders of magnitude relative to the corresponding parameters of the non-treatment. The flexible thermoelectric generator could be fabricated by using a spray method with Bi2Te3-PEDOT:PSS hybrid composite solution. |
