As water purification became a global issue days, more practical, durable and high performance is required for new material for membrane industry. Due to the ability to create highly ordered structures by self-assembly, block copolymer has been tried as new nano-filtration material. We synthesized amphiphilic block copolymer and blended with a homopolymer, which this homopolymer could interact with one of the block in the block copolymer. Then the homopolymer was selectively removed afterward, therefore, a nanoporous structure was created. We studied morphology and tested filtration experiments of this blend system and confirmed their membrane properties. |
