제목 | Dynamic Modeling and Simulation of CO2 Capture process for blended amine |
초록 | Post combustion CO2 capture via absorption into amine solvent is recognized as the most mature and potential process for CO2 removal. However, the large amount of regeneration heat requirement is a hindrance to commercialization of the process. Solvent blends are considered as one of the promising solution to overcome this problem. A new blended amine, recently developed based on the several benefits of blended solvent in KCRC2020 project, can remove CO2 even with relatively low regeneration energy. Before the newly developed solvent is applied to the real process, it is necessary to simulate the entire process with the new solvent. The objective of this work is to analyze whether the blended solvent is suitable for the actual process, even in the presence of various disturbances and operation condition changes. A dynamic model for the CO2 capture process with the blended amine, including columns and other utilities, is developed. For the accuracy of the simulation, a rigorous rate-based approach has been chosen for the column models. The proposed model is able to predict and analyze dynamic behaviors corresponding to various disturbances. |
